The first Walk4Hearing held in Wisconsin in 2010 was a HUGE success, generating nearly $50K for organizations whose missions relate to hearing loss.
The 2011 Walk was also successful as it raised $25K.
The HLAA Milwaukee/Racine Chapter has chaired the Walk for the first 2 years and will do it again in 2012. They need your support; as team captains, walkers, donors, & volunteer helpers.

We Walk Because.....
26 million Americans have some degree of hearing loss!
22 million Americans have noise induced hearing loss that could be prevented!
More than 59,000 military members have disability status due to hearing loss incurred in recent wars!
30 school aged children per 1000 have hearing loss!
We believe it's time to eradicate the stigma attached to hearing loss. It's also time to make 'communication access' equal in availability to mobility access.
We will do this through education, advocacy, information sharing & peer support!
