About HLAA-WI
1. To Educate & promote the "Hearing Loop Initiative" that was established by the Board in 2008.
2. To rebuild & maintain the HLAA-WI website. www.hlaa-wi.org
3. To collaborate with other organizations to make Wisconsin a better place for hard of hearing people of all ages.
4. Continue to publish and distribute a quarterly newseltter via electronic mail, and in so doing, to establish an e-mail contact list that will reach more people.
5.To recruit members to the HLAA-WI Board of Trustees who are willing to work to keep HLAA viable in Wisconsin. Both hearing and hard of hearing members of HLAA are invited to apply for a Board position.

Would You Like to be a Member of the HLAA-WI Board of Trustees?
Nominations are currently closed for 2012. Each year there are 2-4 openings on the Board. If you are interested in serving, please let us know. We will keep you informed of Board activities and open meetings. You are encouraged to attend the meetings. And, you are encouraged to volunteer to sit on committees that are already established, or that will be needed as time passes. You do not need to be a Board member to serve on a committee.
The Board needs the following skill sets: organizational, pubic speaking, writing, accounting, legal experience, newsletter editing, website management, etc.
The HLAA-WI Board is a working board. Two regular meetings are held each year in Stevens Point or at a location determined by the members of the Board.
Regular meetings are supplemented by online meetings 2-3 other times during the year. The majority of your commitment to HLAA will be via e-mail.
Any Wisconsin resident who is a member of the national HLAA organization, is eligible to apply. Please contact the Nominating Committee for information.
